The Role

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and smooth business operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end Procure to Pay process, supplier statement reconciliations, and providing administrative support to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, correct coding, and proper authorisation in line with company policies.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with payment runs, including electronic funds transfers and scheduled payments.
• Maintain accounts payable records, ensuring all documentation is correctly filed.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of company credit cards.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance and management teams.
• Coordinate office supply management to ensure smooth daily operations.

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with a strong understanding of accounts payable functions and administrative support. You take ownership of your tasks, work with minimal supervision, and enjoy collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers. You also have the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in end-to-end accounts payable, including Procure to Pay processes.
• A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of taxation concepts including GST and FBT.
• Experience with supplier statement reconciliations and payment processing.
• Ability to review processes and recommend efficiencies while maintaining internal controls.
• A self-starter, capable of using initiative to find solutions with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
• Experience with construction management software, particularly Varicon, is highly regarded.
