The Role:
A great opportunity has come up for a permanent Full-Time Maintenance Manager to join our team here at Holy Cross Services. This role will be based at Banyo (north Brisbane), at our Commercial Laundry Plant. The role will work closely with the Operations Manager, ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of the plant and equipment
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure the regular and efficient maintenance of all utilities, building and facilities with minimum disruption to laundry operations.
- Plan, oversee, monitor and coordinate an effective preventative and reactive maintenance program performed by maintenance staff.
- Schedule, monitor and coordinate outside contractors in accordance with all contracts, service agreements and warranties.
- Manage and control Maintenance labour costs and operating expenses.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and comply with Holy Cross polices and procedures which reflect legislative obligations relating to workplace health, safety and the environment.
- Lead and manage the performance and development of the Maintenance team to ensure business objectives are achieved.
About you:
- Tertiary or Trade qualification in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of tradespeople and contractors in a plant maintenance-based environment.
- Strong communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Demonstrated administrative ability in planning and resourcing people, performance management and controlling labour costs.
- Ability to understand Building / Mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear understanding of Fire regulations and building code.
