BPA Children's Services (BPA) is a not-for-profit organisation that manages Kindergartens and Child Care centres in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. We are one of the largest providers of Early Childhood education and care services in Victoria, delivering quality programs that meet the needs of each child and the wider community. We're currently seeking a Fixed Term Long Day Care Service Director & Educational Leader to support the delivery of a quality education program at Phoenix Street Children's Centre.

• Fixed Term Parental Leave Position
  Beginning May 2025 for a 12 month period
  Part Time
  68 hours per fortnight
  4 days a week

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership while working as a member of a collaborative service team.
• The successful candidate will be required to step into the role of Assistant Co-Ordinator when the Co-Ordinator is absent from the service.
• Support the Co-Ordinator in leading the service educational pedagogy.
• Provide a high quality developmentally appropriate educational program based upon the practices and principals of both the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with the National Law, the National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent approved by ACECQA).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid certification.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Experience working with children with diverse needs is preferred.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Co-Ordinator and/or Educational Leader.
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.
• Effective communication skills.
