Lead Educators and Educational Leader
Paisley Park Early Learning Centres
Posted 2 days ago
The Educational Leader will be responsible for supporting the Educators in implementing high-quality programs at the centre. Working both on and off the floor, the Educational Leader will mentor the team in their daily practices to ensure they are engaged in quality teaching and delivering a program that meets the National Quality Standard, particularly Quality Area 1. We provide time ‘off the floor’ for implementing many tasks requiring focus. However, there is a requirement for the Educational Leader to be engaged with teams across numerous age groups in everyday routines, practices and programs. This means the candidate must be passionate about being present with the team and not merely sitting behind the desk implementing administrative duties.
Assistant Educators will be required to support the implementation of the program that Lead Educators developed in each of our educational rooms. Their everyday tasks are varied; therefore, the position requires significant flexibility and knowledge across age groups.
Located in Templestowe and catering for up to 120 children per day, our multi-age grouping provides ample opportunity for learning to occur unhurriedly. Equipped with a petting zoo, mud kitchen, vegetable garden our home-like environment caters to families searching for a genuinely inspirational learning space.
This unique opportunity is perfect for a passionate, enthusiastic, reliable candidate who is willing to work with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities and is willing to learn and take direction. Candidates that have some understanding of key frameworks are preferred but not essential. We ensure that our Educators are supported in developing an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standards and the Child Safe Standards.
We are committed to supporting all our Educators in advancing their careers, offering many opportunities for them to be challenged, and strengthening their knowledge. Our in-house Mentorship Program provides Educators free professional learning hosted during working hours. Training outside of working hours is also paid for. We offer our Educators uniforms, free parking, discounted childcare fees, financial support for studying, incentives, bonuses, and flexible working hours.
Successful candidates will need to have or be willing to acquire:
- Relevant qualifications appropriate for the role
- A Working with Children Check
- A Senior First Aid Certificate
- Anaphylaxis/Asthma Certificate
- Having a relationship with an RTO is also advantageous
We change lives and not just children's. If you genuinely want to challenge yourself and become an early learning Educator, APPLY NOW!
