The Opportunity

Excellent opportunity to join a leading Melbourne corporate. The business is large & complex with multiple divisions, which means genuine opportunities to carve out a career. This role is a senior finance business partner / commercial finance lead role within their B2C / ‘Customer’ division. The role provides business partnering, commercial support and planning to help drive performance and evaluate key decisions, with a retail / gross margin focus.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Providing deep insights into drivers of monthly results against budgets, forecasts and expectations (variance analysis) to the business and finance.
• Ensuring that financial performance is clearly communicated to, and can be clearly articulated by business owners (GM level)
• Ensuring integrity, compliance and financial control of business cases, campaigns, business initiatives, new contracts
• Providing financial and commercial due diligence
• Establishing and monitoring KPI’s
• Delivering business plans and gross margin forecasts, which are endorsed by business owners

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualification
• You have gained significant experience as a finance business partner, supporting senior stakeholders
• Ideally, you have good knowledge of partnering sales, marketing or customer teams and can demonstrate your understanding of driving gross margins within a retail environment
• Excellent presentation and communication skills are a given
