About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to lead the modernisation, upgrade, and migration of our core financial platform. You will work with .NET (C#), cloud technologies, and modern architectures to ensure a scalable, secure, and high-performance system.
You will play a key role in backend services, data migration strategies, API development, and cloud adoption, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a future-proof solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the upgrade and migration of our existing financial product to a modern .NET architecture.
• Develop and optimize scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core/.NET 7+.
• Design and implement secure, high-performance APIs for system integrations.
• Drive data migration strategies, ensuring integrity, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS).
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of financial transactions and data.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and business analysts to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Skills & ExperienceMust-Have:

✔ 5+ years of experience in .NET (C#) backend development.
✔ Expertise in .NET Core/.NET 7+, microservices, REST APIs.
✔ Strong experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and data migration.
✔ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
✔ Deep understanding of financial systems, compliance, and security best practices.
✔ Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automated testing.

Nice-to-Have:

➕ Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Blazor.
➕ Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
➕ Knowledge of event-driven architecture and domain-driven design.
