About the role

Provide a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive attitude to our clients, members of the public and hospital staff who utilise the services. Develop, implement and maintain Queensland Health computer systems and processes that enable timely and accurate patient support within The Prince Charles Hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide first point of call, reception, and telephone response service for patients and/or relatives on arrival to the Endoscopy Day Procedure Unit and ensure re-direction to the appropriate area for care by health professionals, using tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Ensure compliance within Queensland Health requirements for mandatory and non-mandatory data collection within admitted and non-admitted data collection by accurately and efficiently entering data for new registrations and updating patient demographics in accordance with SOSIS guidelines.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to obtain knowledge of Medicare billing processes including the identification of Medicare ineligible patients in accordance with State and Commonwealth guidelines.
