Contractor Counsellor - Open Arms Veterans Counselling

Are you a passionate mental health professional with experience working with veterans and military personnel?

We are seeking a dedicated Contractor Counsellor to provide specialised support to veterans through Open Arms Counselling.

Position Details:

• Role: Contractor Counsellor
• Work Type: Counselling for Veterans (Open Arms)
• Hourly Rate: $110- $120 per hour
• Location: Remote or in-person (however must be based in perth)

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker with AASW membership or AHPRA registration.
• Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Experience or understanding of veteran and military culture is highly regarded.

Job Description: As an Open Arms Counsellor, you will work closely with veterans to provide tailored support that enhances mental health and well-being. You’ll address common concerns such as:

• Relationship and family issues
• Transitioning to civilian life
• Anxiety, depression, and anger
• Sleep difficulties
• PTSD
• Alcohol or substance misuse

This role involves working collaboratively to find effective solutions that will improve the lives of veterans and their families.
