About the role
This part-time Construction Administration role at SJ Building Group is a crucial support function for our construction projects in the Wollongong area. As an Administrative Assistant, you'll be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks that help keep our construction sites running smoothly and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
- Providing general administrative support to the construction management team, including filing, data entry, and document preparation
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings, site visits, and other appointments
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems for project documentation
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, invoices, and other financial documents
- Answering and directing phone calls, as well as responding to email inquiries
- Providing reception duties, including greeting visitors and managing incoming deliveries
- Performing other administrative duties as required to support the construction team
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within the construction industry
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of construction industry terminology and processes would be highly advantageous
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as required to support the construction team
