Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years' Australian experience as a Structural Engineer Intermediate level
• Completion of an Engineers Australia accredited four-year Civil Engineering qualification in Australia, or equivalent
• Demonstrated extensive experience in design and management of engineering projects, management of clientele and other professional staff, as well as the overseeing of Technical and Administrative Staff
• Strong Quality Review and Attention to Detail
• Strong Initiative and Interpersonal Skills – speaking, writing, listening, including client presentation skills
• Eligible for Membership status of the Institute of Engineers Australia (M.I.E.Aust)
• Eligible for registration of the National Professional Engineers Register (N.P.E.R.)
• Eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer Status (C.P.Eng)
• Software skills include: INDUCTA (RCB, SLB, RCC, FTG) RAPT, TEDDS, WALLAP, MICROSTRAN
• Additional software skills which will be an advantage include: CSI (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000) BENTLEY (RAM CONCEPT)

Tasks & responsibilities

• Concept and detailed design of engineering projects. Ability to make & prepare calculations.
• Designing reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and steel structures, including shoring and foundation systems.
• Managing multiple projects and overseeing contracts.
• Preparing detailed structural drawings, plans, and specifications for construction.
• Identifying risks and proposing mitigation measures.
• Ensuring designs meet project and local specifications.
• Collaborating with civil engineers, architects, and other professionals in the design and construction process.
• Managing client relationships and supervising junior engineers and technical staff.
