Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness? We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Caseworker to join our Colac Youth Homelessness Support Team, providing intensive case management, mentoring staff, and driving positive outcomes for young people and their families.
About the Role
As the Senior Caseworker, you will:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and case direction to team members, with a strong focus on mitigating risk and enhancing practice.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions through assertive outreach, supporting young people to overcome barriers to safe, stable, and sustainable housing.
- Mentor and support staff through regular case consultations, reflective practice sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader to allocate cases, oversee care plans, and contribute to program development within the Youth Homelessness Support leadership group.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Colac community to enhance housing outcomes and connect young people to essential support services.

- $106,644 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Qualification or equivalent in Youth, Social Work or Community Welfare (Diploma+) and experience in client services functions.
- Experience in delivering risk and needs assessments, case management, client advocacy, and therapeutic interventions in line with Best Interests Framework for case practice.
- Ability to form a sound ecological perspective of client circumstances, with minimal information to rapidly determine required support using the appropriate tools.
- Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
- Demonstrated ability to engage key stakeholders for positive client outcomes
