Are you passionate about early intervention, family resilience, and breaking cycles of disadvantage? At Meli, we are committed to delivering an integrated, innovative, and evidence-informed model of family support that ensures children, young people, and their families receive the care they need to thrive. We are looking for a Senior Child and Family Practitioner to play a key role in providing high-quality support, leadership, and tailored interventions to families across the Barwon Southwest region.

About the Role

As a Senior Child and Family Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to family support practitioners, ensuring best practice approaches and professional development.
  • Deliver high-quality, tailored interventions to children, young people, and families, focusing on early intervention, capacity building, and resilience.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, case planning, and reviews, ensuring interventions align with evidence-informed frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organisations, government agencies, and service providers to enhance family support services.
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives, using data and feedback to refine service delivery and client outcomes.

This role plays a critical part in strengthening families, promoting child safety, and preventing issues from becoming entrenched, while also fostering collaboration across Meli’s Connecting, Strengthening, and Restoring Family Support Streams.
