Our client is seeking a dedicated and reliable professional to join their team in Sydney. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with a diverse group of professionals and develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end monthly payroll process for a large staff base, including the calculation of casual timesheets, leave, overtime, and other related tasks.
• Processing and monitoring leave requests and accruals, as well as handling masterfile data entry and ensuring accuracy in all data.
• Producing detailed reports, including month-end and year-end processes.
• Handling manual and termination payment calculations.
• Managing monthly reconciliations for superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and overtime billing.
• Responding to staff queries, providing customer service, and autonomously managing a client base.
• Supporting various reporting tasks using tools like Excel and Workday, and performing regular reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and adhering to strict deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years of experience with payroll systems (Chris21 preferred).
• Strong Excel skills at an intermediate level or above.
• The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and handle a high volume of work.
• A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential matters.
• A solid understanding of relevant national legislation and awards.
• The ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
