ABOUT THE ROLE
The Coordinator Police Matters manages the relationship between NSW Ambulance and NSW Police Force investigators to support the provision of appropriate evidence in criminal and coronial investigations. The role accepts subpoenas to attend court to give evidence on behalf of all NSW Ambulance staff. The Coordinator Police Matters provides advice, support and assistance to paramedics required to give a statement of evidence or attend court in response to a subpoena. The role supports the Legal Services team in relation to identifying witnesses and available evidence for inquests and liaises with external stakeholders including NSW Police Force to facilitate NSW Ambulance involvement in criminal and coronial investigations.

ABOUT YOU
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service approach. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders
- High level administrative skills including maintaining appropriate records
- Understanding of the NSW court process and in particular the role of a witness in both criminal and coronial matters
- Ability to recognise the need for and provide a high level of support for staff in stressful circumstances
