The Team:

The Deloraine District Hospital is a 20 bed Acute care facility that includes Palliative Care and General Medical Care. The Hospital coordinates the delivery of a broad range of community and allied services within the Meander Valley. We strive to deliver personalised care in a calm, welcoming and warm environment while being innovative and having a can-do attitude. Our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce and the Meander Valley community.

The Role:

  • Deliver evidenced based care in accordance with the nursing care plan under the supervision of the registered nurse.
  • Participate in decision making with the multidisciplinary team to achieve planned patient outcomes.
  • promote and participate in education activities, including preceptorship and orientation.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the organisations Quality and Safety and Work Health and Safety processes.

You will need

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse - medication endorsed.
  • Practices in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia approved national competency standards for Enrolled nurses, Legislation, education, experience and organisational policy.
  • Complies at all times with policy and protocol requirements, including those relating to mandatory education, training and assessment.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time shift worker position (fully rotational), working up to 46 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%
