Join us at Midlands Multi-Purpose Health Centre, located in Oatlands, only an hour drive from the capital city of Hobart. Our centre is essential to the residents of Oatlands and surrounding areas, offering critical healthcare services in a uniquely beautiful setting.

MMPHC provides 24 hour care and support to 4 acute care beds, 18 residential aged care beds, and a small Accident and Emergency. The Centre also coordinates the delivery of a range of community services, visiting services and community groups such as Community Nursing, Child Health, Disability Services, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Diabetic Education Services.

The Role:

As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll play a vital role in improving health outcomes by providing safe, quality nursing care. Working closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, your responsibilities will include delivering evidence-based care under the supervision of a registered nurse, contributing to patient care plans, participating in multidisciplinary teams, and collecting clinical data. You'll provide essential information to patients and families and help prioritise their care needs.

Your commitment to quality and safety will see you actively involved in improvement activities, risk management, and identifying and reporting unsafe practices. Ongoing self and professional development are key aspects of this role, as is adherence to all policies, protocols, and mandatory training requirements.

You will need:

1. Sound knowledge of the principles of nursing care, procedures and practices.
2. Demonstrated ability to practice in a manner that respects the right of individuals and groups.
3. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Regional Allowances

• Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%
