About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Rehabilitation team as a Allied Health Assistant, where you will be responsible for:
- Provide allied health assistant services under minimal direct supervision.
- Contribute to a high standard of service provision by assisting with non-treatment related activities including reception of client, cleaning, and maintenance of therapy materials, assisting with client education etc.
- Provide direct client assistance under the direction of Allied Health Professionals including assisting with training, education sessions and the implementation of individual and group therapy activities.
- Appropriate clinical skill and knowledge to utilise systems, processes, and procedures available to them to make independent decisions regarding patient programs and level of functioning.
- Participation in and contribution to team meetings, family meetings and intake/discharge meetings.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Experience working in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional.
- Experience working with children, young people, and their caregivers.
- Basic keyboard and computing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate effective time management.
- Ability to respect the principles of confidentiality
