THE ROLE

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and securing new business opportunities. This is primarily an on-the-road role, where you’ll be spending most of your time visiting clients and working directly on-site at major construction and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify and secure new business within the Tier 1 construction and infrastructure sectors. Develop and maintain strong relationships with project managers, procurement teams, and site engineers.
  • Account Management: Manage and grow an existing client base, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships. Provide expert advice on lifting, rigging, and height safety solutions.
  • Technical Consultation: Understand client needs and recommend the right lifting, rigging, and height safety products, such as hoists, winches, load restraint systems, slings, shackles, and fall protection equipment.
  • Project Involvement: Work closely with clients on large-scale infrastructure and construction projects, providing tailored solutions to meet project specifications.
  • Targets & Reporting: Achieve and exceed sales targets by leveraging your industry knowledge and network. Provide regular sales reports and market insights.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless order fulfilment and client satisfaction.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience selling lifting, rigging, or height safety equipment, or similar industrial products.
  • Strong Network: Established relationships within Tier 1 builders, civil contractors, and infrastructure markets in Sydney.
  • Sales Expertise: A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with strong business development and account management skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: An understanding of lifting and rigging equipment, including compliance and safety regulations.
  • Autonomy & Drive: A self-motivated, results-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and proactively generate new business.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with key decision-makers in the industry.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Competitive base salary $85,000 - $105,000 + Super + Comms + Car
