Job Title: Fire Protection Systems Designer
Location: Sydney OR Remote work available
Salary: $130k - $140k +Super
(Package is negotiable based on experience)

A leading provider of fire protection solutions in Sydney are looking for an experienced Fire Systems Designer to work on tier 1 projects across NSW. They are committed to ensuring the safety of people, buildings, and infrastructure. The team is passionate about delivering innovative, high-quality fire protection systems that meet the ever-evolving needs of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Fire Protection Systems Designer, you will be responsible for designing fire suppression and alarm systems that meet code requirements, client specifications, and safety standards. Your role will involve:

• Designing, developing, and detailing fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler systems, fire alarms etc.) for a variety of projects.
• Collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated system designs.
• Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to create effective fire protection strategies.
• Reviewing project specifications and local codes to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Producing detailed layouts, schematics, and calculations for fire protection systems.
• Coordinating with installation teams to ensure proper implementation of designs.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting during the installation and commissioning stages.
• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and code changes.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience designing fire protection systems (sprinklers, fire alarms etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
• Experience using fire protection design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• FPAS Accreditations in fire protection design (desirable but not essential)
