Leemark Fire Protection Pty Ltd in a private family owned business, established in 2000, which provides engineered solutions for automatic fire sprinkler systems, special hazard systems, hydrant and hose reel systems, fire alarm systems and evacuation systems, including the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and testing of any or all of these systems. Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Fire Services Engineer located in Mitcham, VIC, with flexibility for some remote work. The Fire Services Engineer will be reporting to the the General Manager and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Design Wet and Dry Fire Systems in accordance with Australian Standards.
2. Execute 2D and 3D designs using modelling software.
3. Perform Hydraulic and Design Calculations.
4. Perform Equipment and Material Selection in accordance with Project and Engineering Standards.
5. Establish Method Statements, Inspection Testing Procedures and Safety Work Statements in accordance with Engineering Practices.
6. Create Detail Project Programs.
7. Ensure labour is adequately resourced along with the timely delivery of equipment, materials, and machinery to minimize downtime.
8. Conduct frequent inspections to resolve design obstacles and monitor system performance.
9. Provide Engineering and Technical support during the execution of work.
The Fire Services Engineer will also have the opportunity to grow and develop their knowledge and skillset while working with a supportive team of experienced in-house designers and project managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience, Diploma of Fire Systems Design or Bachelor's degree or higher in any Engineering/Architecture/Science.
- Experience in designing fire protection systems and knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Ability to accurately interpret and analyze technical data and construction documents.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience working in the Australian fire protection industry is preferred but not required.
- Permission to work in Australia is essential.
