Our client, in operation for just under 10 years and with over 60 staff, has a winning reputation as one of the best service companies of its kind.

Servicing industries including Mining, Civil, Marine, Rail, Tunnelling and Drilling, no 2 days will be the same for you.

The company works predominantly in Hydraulics and is known for its efficiency in turnaround times and attention to detail.

Products include hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and drill rigs. The company also manufactures and holds drill head parts.

Due to rapid growth they are now seeking several Mechanical Fitters to join their workshop team and help grow the business (and yourself) even further.

Ideally you will have;

• Relevant Trade Qualifications (Fitter and Machinist)
• Post-trade hydraulic qualification (desirable not essential)
• Previous experience in actuator repairs (desirable not essential)
• Previous experience in working with hydraulic cylinders (desirable not essential)
• The ability to measure and work to tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to read technical drawings.
• The ability to work as part of a team

Indicative tasks will include;

• Disassembling hydraulic components (actuators).
• Undertaking failure analyses.
• Capturing component specifications.
• Assembling & testing repaired components.
• Attending work safety briefings.
• Complying with company OH&S procedures We seek tradespersons with a strong safety awareness, winning mentality and a long term view for their next role.

Standard hours of work are 5am-1:30pm or 6am-2:30pm with overtime readily available including Saturday work. Permanent rates of pay are negotiable depending on your relevant skills and experience. Our client also offer industry leading training and career progression for you!
