About the role

The Mechanical Fitter (Rotating shift roster) role is a Full-time position, based at Cecil Park, NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site, you will be working on a rotating roster (24/7 operational site) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintaining Operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
• Complete planned maintenance tasks.
• Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
• Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor.
• Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxs/drives, bearings rollers etc.
• Fabrication-Simple stick and MiG welding
• Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill.
• Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
