About the role
Be responsible for the delivery of competent level of Psychology services as a member of a multidisciplinary team within Biala Psychosocial Treatment Team, MNMH-ADS. This role delivers psychology services for adults (25years and over) experiencing moderate to severe substance use disorder and/or complicated by other mental health concerns, and their families/significant others, to achieve maximum benefits from health care services in accordance with organisational goals.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver contemporary competent level psychology services based on valid and reliable evidence, are in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, and performed with a high degree of independence.
- Exercise increasingly independent clinical judgement and core problem solving skills and appropriate risk management strategies to a complex caseload with supervision from a more senior clinician, commensurate with level of knowledge and clinical expertise.
- Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team by providing routine discipline specific clinical formulation and advice, as well as contribute to the development of individualised treatment plans including discharge planning and service provision.
