Salary: Circa $110,000 plus 11.5% superannuation

The City of Fremantle is seeking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer with extensive civil engineering experience who will play a vital role in the delivery of a range of civil infrastructure projects for our community.
This position reports to the Principal Construction and Maintenance Engineer and is responsible for delivering capital infrastructure while assisting with engineering maintenance operations. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our daily operations.
The role will be mainly based at the operational Depot site and will require site inspections, attending site meetings, morning pre-starts and safety toolbox meetings. There will also be an opportunity to work across sites including at the Walyalup Civic Centre in the heart of Fremantle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver complex civil engineering projects across urban renewal/development and municipal infrastructure in a safe, quality assured, cost effective and efficient manner.
- Provide professional support and advice regarding a range of civil engineering and urban design matters, to internal and external customers.
- Participate and coordinate teams undertaking studies, consultations, documentation and the implementation of programs and projects.
- Provide Project Management support for a range of infrastructure projects, relating to, but not limited to roads, drainage, bicycle, car parking and traffic calming.
The ideal candidate will possess a formal qualification in Civil Engineering or have significant work experience in a similar position. To succeed in this role, you will have highly developed communication skills, organisational ability, and customer service skills. You will be a problem-solver and be able to demonstrate significant consultation and negotiation skills. A Driver’s License and White cared are also requirements of the position.
