About the Role:

Mack Civil is looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer to oversee our annual works programs. In this role, you will provide essential engineering support and technical guidance to our delivery team, managing multiple project scopes alongside the Project Manager and Site Engineers. Your responsibilities will include forecasting, planning, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the safe, high-standard delivery of projects aligned with our program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage annual works programs to meet quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Deliver key construction outcomes in line with safety, quality, budget, and project schedules.
• Manage both self-performed and subcontractor-led works.
• Lead project reporting, planning, and forecasting to support program milestones.
• Coordinate effectively with the delivery team, management, stakeholders, and clients.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and value management initiatives.
• Provide technical advice and develop solutions to project challenges.
• Support and develop team members for program delivery success.

About You:

We seek a solutions-oriented leader with site-based experience as a Project Engineer on civil infrastructure projects. You’ll have a proven track record of effectively collaborating with stakeholders and a strong eye for detail. Your ability to manage shifting priorities and project complexities within an annual works program framework will be key to success in this role.

Minimum Requirements:

• Extensive site-based experience as a Project Engineer.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, specifications, and industry requirements.
• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for effective planning and problem-solving.
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexibility to manage reprioritisation and fast-paced project changes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
