About the Role

A leading insurance firm is seeking an Assistant Account Executive to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry while working closely with senior brokers. The successful candidate will assist in managing client accounts, support insurance policy processes, and develop their skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.

The position is open to candidates from any insurance background, with a preference for those with brokerage experience. More importantly, the ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Service: Act as the first point of contact for clients, responding to enquiries, processing policy changes, and handling requests.
  • Policy Renewals & Alternatives: Assist in the renewal process and provide alternative options where necessary.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • New Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and contribute to portfolio growth.
  • Processing & Compliance: Support the processing of new business, policy changes, and compliance tasks.
  • Ongoing Learning: Participate in training sessions, industry events, and professional development to build skills and industry knowledge.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualifications: Minimum Tier 2 in Insurance Broking, with Tier 1 preferred. Support is provided to obtain necessary qualifications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and work effectively within a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organised with the ability to manage client accounts and documentation accurately.
  • Self-Motivation: Proactive mindset with a willingness to identify and improve processes.
  • Team Player: Works well in a collaborative environment and contributes to team success.
  • Willingness to Learn: Open to feedback and eager to develop within the role.
  • Insurance Experience: Candidates from any insurance background are encouraged to apply, with a preference for those with brokerage experience.
