About the Opportunity

This critical leadership role will oversee cloud applications and software development, managing a technical team. You will work closely with stakeholders across multiple locations, aligning business objectives by improving development processes, and expanding cloud capabilities. You will report to the US-based leader and collaborate closely with local and global teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Duties

• Develop and implement cloud strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead and mentor a high-performing software engineering team
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in engineering, product management, and regulatory teams
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements in software development
• Oversee architecture design and cloud infrastructure optimisation
• Drive innovation in AI and machine learning within cloud applications
• Monitor security, compliance, and performance of cloud solutions

Skills and Experience

• Expertise in cloud software development
• Experience working within the medical device or medical technology industry is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams
• Strong understanding of software development processes and technical architecture
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or deep learning would be advantageous
• Knowledge of medical regulations in software development (ISO 13485, FDA, TGA) is beneficial.
