The GM Finance needs a technical accountant with prior team management leadership experience

The Role

This newly created Finance Manager position is designed for a technically skilled and trained CA with prior team leadership experience in audit either looking for the first move into commercial accounting or the second move up into finance management from senior accounting.

You will be responsible for:

Month end financial reporting review to Australian Accounting standards
All tax and ASIC compliance reporting
Quarter reporting and preparation of accounts and reconciliations oversight
Year end reporting and preparation for audit review
Leadership of two qualified accountants for financial compliance
Support and collaboration with the management reporting/FP&A team
Support on the annual budget process
Application of research and advisory on accounting standard changes and regulations that impact the industry and the organisation

This company finance team has a long history in progression and promotion for those that apply themselves and drive quality through personal ownership of their function, going above and beyond to collaborate throughout the finance team and partner with the business operations.

A very high degree of technical skill in accounting treatment and standards needs to married with excellent presentation, communication and collaboration intelligence to succeed in this position and appointment.

You are an experienced qualified CA with training in audit or financial advisory looking for a progression to financial leadership and technical accounting subject matter expertise
