The role responsivities:

• Providing leadership and mentoring to the education team, fostering a collaborative, reflective and continuous improvement culture
• Developing, implementing and evaluating the educational program to ensure it meets the needs and interests of the children
• Analysing children's learning and development, and using this information to inform the educational program
• Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation
• Fostering strong relationships with families and the community to promote engagement and participation
• Advocating for the rights and wellbeing of children, and promoting inclusive practices
• Participating in the centre's quality improvement processes and initiatives

Suitable applicants must have the following:

• Diploma in early childhood qualification
• Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
• WWCC and or Victorian Institute of Teaching card.
• Right to work in Australia

You will also be required to:

• Report directly to your Centre Manager and attend regular monthly meetings.

Essential skills and competencies

• Lead Educator and Room Leader experience
• Experience and knowledge of early childhood development and education.
• Effective time management skills
• Communicate effectively with Senior Management, parents, other staff and professionals.
• Ability to work cooperatively, flexibly, and professionally with children, parents, staff and Senior Management.
• Strong leadership and self-motivation skills
