Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Property Portfolio Officer to join their team.
The purpose of this role is to carry out on-site and desktop compliance inspections to ensure that maintenance meets required standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per contractual agreements. This role may require statewide travel including overnight stay where necessary, for the purposes of onsite audits. You will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of fire safety across the Housing Portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct specialised fire safety compliance inspections for Fire Safety Maintenance program. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and security of our properties and occupants.
- Perform thorough and detailed inspections of fire safety systems and equipment, adhering to established standards and regulations.
- Meticulously assess fire detection, alarm systems, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and other critical components to identify any deficiencies or areas requiring maintenance or repair.
- Documenting your findings accurately and comprehensively. This includes preparing detailed reports outlining inspection results, identifying any non-compliance issues, and recommending appropriate corrective actions
Selection Criteria:
- Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government, or commercial probity and contracting standards.
- Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards.
- Extensive experiences and knowledge of residential property maintenance and improvements.
- Scoping experience – desirable
- Current driver’s license.
- Desirable – experience in compliance inspections of building essential services
On offer is a contract until 30/06/2025 at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive hourly rate.
