The City of Gold Coast is undergoing a significant transformation in procurement governance, analytics and capability development. As part of this strategic initiative, we are seeking an experienced Manager Procurement Capability and Performance to lead procurement governance, supplier intelligence and compliance functions, ensuring best-practice procurement principles.

Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, this role will lead a team of approximately 23 professionals, driving procurement excellence through governance, analytics and performance reporting. You will oversee procurement frameworks, develop supplier segmentation strategies and enhance procurement intelligence to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy requirements
  • Oversee procurement analytics and reporting, providing insights to drive procurement strategy and supplier performance
  • Lead the procurement helpdesk function, ensuring streamlined support for procurement processes and compliance
  • Implement a supplier segmentation strategy, optimising supplier relationships and enhancing contract performance monitoring
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging innovation and best-practice procurement methodologies

About You

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field and extensive experience in procurement governance, analytics and supplier management. You will bring strong leadership skills, data-driven decision-making expertise and a track record of driving procurement capability and performance improvements.
