Hobartville Long Day Preschool is a 39 place, community-based, not for profit service that has been providing education and care to children aged 6 weeks - 6 years for the last 30 years. We pride ourselves on providing a quality educational program that caters for all children's interests and styles of learning. We are open 7am – 6pm, 49 weeks of the year.

The ideal Candidates will:

  • Be a key part of the Centre leadership and work with our wonderful team to deliver quality education
  • Work closely with the Centre Director to support our centres vision
  • Develop and contribute to the centre curriculum, stimulating environments and innovative early childhood programs including Start Strong
  • Conduct observation and evaluation of children's development
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the workplace by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and information, and working collaboratively in our team
  • Comply with the Centre policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation & regulations
  • Assisting children with their daily routines & support them in their learning
  • Developing, planning, and implementing a quality program that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework and the Centre philosophy
  • Monitoring and documenting children's progress & individual children's portfolios

Suitable applicants must have:

  • Degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ACECQA Approved)
  • Teaching accreditation from NESA
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably 1-3 years
  • High level of understanding of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0
  • Ability to document learning in meaningful ways
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and motivation
  • A commitment to supporting each other, our children, and their families
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Current Working with Children check
  • Current Child Protection training
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
