About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join our team starting in April 2025 (with flexibility for the right candidate). In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Supervise and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and trades, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Project Oversight: Plan and coordinate all construction activities in collaboration with the Construction Manager, including schedules, resource allocation, and daily operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret detailed architectural and engineering plans to ensure accurate execution of the design and compliance with specifications.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce workplace health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Monitor daily workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards, conducting inspections and addressing any deficiencies.
- Resource Management: Work closely with the Construction Manager to schedule and coordinate material deliveries and ensure efficient use of on-site resources. Manage supplier schedules and adapt resource plans as needed.
- Technology Proficiency: Use Monday.com, Deputy, and other project management tools to track progress, manage timesheets, and document project milestones.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges in collaboration with the Construction Manager, ensuring project flow and quality are maintained.
- Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the Construction Manager or Director, providing updates, raising concerns, and facilitating site meetings.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, subcontractor hours, variations, and client communications.

- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in renovations, with a strong focus on character and heritage projects.
- Plan Interpretation: Exceptional ability to read and interpret detailed architectural and engineering plans to guide accurate construction execution.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work closely with the Construction Manager to align on project goals and resolve challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in using project management software and technology to manage schedules, timesheets, and documentation.
- Attention to Detail: A commitment to delivering projects to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to address challenges efficiently.
