Our Client is currently recruiting for a Child and Family Therapist to join their team based in Coffs Harbour. This role provides wrap-around and intense, therapeutic support to families with children aged 0-17 where there is on-going abuse and neglect occurring. As the Child and Family Therapist, you will be trained in a unique therapeutic model that will shape your practice in this role. You will be provided with regular clinical supervision and support and ongoing training and development.
This role will involve;
- Work closely with program consultants and the Department of Communities and Justice
- Providing in-home therapeutic intervention to both parents and children
- Regular home visits, delivering therapeutic intervention.
- Deliver the service in a culturally responsive framework for Aboriginal and culturally diverse families.
- Working within a specific and targeted therapy model that utilises strength-based approaches
- Wrap-around support and intervention for families
- Participate in a rotating on-call roster, shared with your colleagues (on-call allowance provided)
- Contribute to group supervision and team meetings
They are looking for candidates with relevant qualifications and registrations in Social Work, Psychology and experience working with vulnerable children experiencing abuse and neglect, and their families.
The requirements for this role include;
- Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related practice
- Registration with AHPRA or AASW where relevant
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of family systems and social ecological theories.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of cognitive and other behavioural therapies with children and adults
- Willingness undertake training and learn a new therapeutic model
- NSW WWCC and willingness to undertake National Police Check
