We are seeking compassionate and skilled professionals to join our dedicated team as either a Family Violence Practitioner or a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner in the Safe at Home Program. These roles work to empower victim survivors and hold those who use violence accountable.
About the Role
As a Safe at Home Practitioner, you will:
- Work directly with victim survivors, including children, to support their safety, independence, and wellbeing.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies aligned with the MARAM Framework and family violence legislation.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver holistic, tailored interventions that address the diverse needs of families.
- Provide case management, advocacy, and education, fostering safe and stable home environments.
This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a ground-breaking initiative that transforms traditional family violence responses, helping families stay together safely.
Position Details
- Multiple full-time roles available at SCHADS Level 5 or 6, depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
- These positions are offered as fixed-term contracts for external applicants until 30 December 2027; internal candidates may apply as a secondment opportunity.
- $97,614 - $106,644 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, or a related discipline, or significant professional experience in family violence.
- Expertise in risk assessment, case planning, and working with victim survivors, particularly children.
- A deep understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and its impact on families.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to the Victorian Child Safe Standards and fostering a child-safe environment.
