Job Description

Mercure Port of Echuca is seeking a versatile Maintenance Handyperson to oversee property maintenance and grounds/landscaping.

Key responsibilities will include-

• Preventative room maintenance by conducting regular room inspections
• Attending to room maintenance issues and ensuring rooms are available to sell
• Oversight of the grounds including (but not limited to) lawns, gardens, pool
• Coordinate trade-qualified contractors where necessary
• Work closely with other departments including front office, housekeeping, kitchen as required
• Work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
• At times, working in the presence of guests and being comfortable in positive engagement
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering to WHS guidelines.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and take pride in your work.
• Follow all hotel and company policies and procedures
• Must be well organized
• Punctual & reliable
• Honest, consistent, & detail-oriented

Must Have

• Previous experience is critical
• Broad understanding of property maintenance
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role.
• Willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic with a focus on efficiency and thoroughness.
• Excellent communication and time management skills, along with a friendly attitude.
