Expert Plumbing & Gas Services, established in 2010, is a small sized plumbing company (10 employees), enjoying a strong and growing client base. We operate predominantly in Brunswick with, an office in Northcote. Our focus is on commercial and domestic projects, where quality of work and customer relations are paramount.

About the role

We are currently seeking to appoint a highly organised and adaptable Office Administrator, for a full-time hours. Parts of the role will include:

  • Answering incoming calls, emails and inquiries
  • Assisting with the booking schedule
  • Assisting with arranging team events and meetings
  • Drafting invoices and following up overdue accounts
  • General filing and maintenance of business systems
  • Coordinating with suppliers and external contractors
  • Other Ad Hoc administrative duties as required

This is a varied administrative role with diverse responsibilities requiring an exceptionally organised, agile individual with high attention to detail. You'll be working largely in conjunction with another office administrator, and the company director. It's a small office team (2-3 people), but a supportive one.

Some days are quiet, when we wonder if the phone is still actually plugged in, other days it's very busy and it'll be lunch time before you know it!

As the 'linch pin' of the team, the Office Administrator needs to assist with activities across the group, maintaining the highest level of professional standards.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will be an experienced (2 year+) Administrator. You'll be competent with using Outlook, web based apps, and some social medial for businesses promotions. Experience with basic work on the accounting system Xero is preferred, but training can also be provided. You will be well spoken, as communication on the phone is very important to this role. You will also be a team player with strong communication skills and impeccable work ethic.
