About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Medical Receptionist (Two positions available. One being a Practice manager) to join our team at IPSWICH SURGEONS in Ipswich QLD 4305. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our busy medical practice.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling and cancellations
• managing bookings of operating theatre lists
• Answering and directing incoming phone calls
• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical information
• Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services
• Assisting with general office administration tasks as required
• Ensuring a clean and organised reception area at all times
• Practice manger will require knowldege on medicare/surgical biilings and experience using Gentu or other medical software

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist/Practice admin manager or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient care
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
• A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
