A well-established technology company specialising in telematics solutions is seeking a Product Marketing Customer Engagement Specialist to drive customer retention and renewals. This role ensures that fleet operators, logistics providers, and small businesses fully integrate telematics solutions into their daily operations, making renewal a seamless decision.

About the Role
The role involves working closely with OEM partners, fleet operators, and business owners to educate, engage, and retain customers. Leveraging data insights, lifecycle marketing, and industry engagement, the specialist will enhance customer understanding and adoption of telematics technology. This is a hands-on, executional role suited to a proactive and detail-oriented marketer who enjoys content creation, customer communication, and industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Retention

  • Develop proactive renewal strategies to drive continued customer subscriptions.
  • Partner with OEMs to support customer retention efforts.
  • Implement lifecycle marketing initiatives to engage customers before subscription expiry.
  • Collaborate with customer success and product teams to enhance product adoption and stickiness.

Data-Driven Communication

  • Utilise fleet performance insights (e.g., safety alerts, driver behaviour, compliance tracking) to reinforce the value of telematics solutions.
  • Work with data teams to create engaging, data-backed customer reports.
  • Develop ongoing "Did you know?" campaigns to educate fleet managers on system benefits and encourage feature adoption.

Sales & Product Alignment

  • Work closely with sales and product teams to refine messaging and ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Create OEM-branded marketing content, including brochures, case studies, and training materials.
  • Educate customers on maximising their telematics investment to enhance fleet efficiency and compliance.

Events & Industry Engagement

  • Represent the company at trade shows, fleet expos, and industry conferences.
  • Develop and manage customer engagement activities such as training sessions, webinars, and in-person events.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers within fleet management, compliance, and operations teams to reinforce long-term value.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in B2B product marketing, customer engagement, or lifecycle marketing, ideally within automotive, telematics, fleet management, IoT, telecommunications, or engineering solutions.
  • Ability to translate technical data into compelling customer insights to drive retention.
  • Hands-on approach to marketing, comfortable executing campaigns and engaging directly with customers.
  • Strong experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and data teams to align messaging and retention efforts.
  • Willingness to travel, including some interstate and occasional weekend work for industry events.
  • Familiarity with telematics, vehicle tracking, fleet management software, or SaaS solutions.
  • Exposure to OEM partnerships and an understanding of fleet compliance and logistics operations.
  • Experience using B2B marketing automation tools is a bonus (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
