Unified Electronic Solutions is a leader in electronic security systems. We’re based in Cheltenham and serve clients across Melbourne, specialising in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electronic security solutions for Government, Education, Corporate, Commercial, and Retail sectors.
The Role: As a Security Systems Technician at Unified Electronic Solutions, you will:
- Play a hands-on role in installing, servicing, and maintaining advanced security systems for our diverse client base, primarily in the Melbourne CBD.
- Develop expertise in large-scale commercial environments by performing routine servicing, ongoing maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Work with industry-leading platforms such as Gallagher, Inner Range, Milestone, and Genetec, ensuring smooth operations.
- Receive comprehensive training tailored to your experience level, with the opportunity to progress towards a Senior Technician or Engineer role.
Who You Are:
- Passionate and Willing to Learn: Whether you’re an experienced technician or just starting out, you’re motivated to develop your skills and take on new challenges.
- Preferred (But Not Required) Experience: Familiarity with installing, maintaining, or programming systems like Gallagher, Inner Range, Milestone, or Genetec. We welcome applicants with broader technical or IT backgrounds who are eager to learn these platforms.
- Professional & Adaptable: You bring a flexible approach, a professional appearance, and a positive attitude that adds value to a cohesive team environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of IP networks is beneficial.
- Certified & Licensed (Or Willing to Obtain): Holding a security registration, cabling licence, and a valid driver’s licence is ideal; however, talk to us if you’re in the process of obtaining these qualifications.
- Eligible to Work: You must have the right to work in Australia (Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency).
What We Offer:
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a fully funded (not accrued) monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO). This means it doesn’t come out of your leave entitlements and is not deducted for your weekly hours worked —you truly get a paid day off per month to rest and recharge.
- Long-Term Career Path: A permanent position within a growing company, complete with ongoing training in the latest security products and technologies.
- Tools to Succeed: A fully maintained service vehicle, company phone, laptop and all tools (excluding hand tools) to ensure you’re well-equipped for every task.
- Collaborative Culture: Thrive in a supportive environment that values teamwork, encourages skill development, and focuses on client satisfaction.
If you’re excited about technology, committed to delivering top-quality service, and eager to grow your career, we encourage you to apply—even if you don’t meet every “preferred” requirement.
