Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd is a leading solar equipment manufacturer dedicated to innovation and excellence in photovoltaic technology. We are seeking a Production Director/Production Manager (Manufacturing)to drive strategic leadership and operational excellence across our advanced manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Develop and implement production strategies to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, and drive cost efficiency.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including production supervisors, engineers, and technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and AI-driven automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with Australian and international manufacturing standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS/NZS).
- Establish and monitor KPIs, leveraging data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and global competitiveness.
- Oversee supply chain and production planning, ensuring seamless material flow and minimal waste.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate new technologies into production processes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and risk management protocols.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-reduction initiatives to improve overall profitability.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the solar energy or advanced manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations, managing global production bases, and overseeing teams of 200+ employees.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and smart manufacturing technologies.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain management, cost control, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive strategic growth, and implement global best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
