About the Role
This full-time position is ideal for a seasoned business development professional with at least five years of experience in the solar industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and securing new commercial clients, developing business strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
The role requires someone with an established network in the commercial solar industry who can proactively generate leads and close deals. The ability to work independently while collaborating with the sales and technical teams will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new commercial and industrial clients interested in solar panel and battery storage solutions.
- Leverage an existing network of industry contacts, including commercial property owners, developers, and facility managers.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and meetings to drive business growth.
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and emerging business opportunities.
- Work closely with the technical and sales teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions for clients.
- Manage the sales pipeline efficiently, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum five years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation within the solar industry.
- Proven track record of securing commercial and industrial solar projects and bringing in high-value clients.
- Established network in the commercial solar space with the ability to leverage existing industry relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and successfully close deals.
