Payroll Officer – Local Council, Inner Suburbs
6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | ASAP Start | Hybrid Arrangement
$82,635 per annum + 11.5% super (pro-rata) | 38 hours per week

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Officer to join our client, a forward-thinking local council dedicated to providing exceptional services to the community. About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll functions. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Processing employee timesheets on a fortnightly basis with precision.
• Providing outstanding customer service by addressing payroll-related queries and concerns.
• Managing all assignment changes in Oracle HCM & Chris21, including promotions, higher duties, transfers, new starters, and terminations.
• Facilitating communication between departments to resolve payroll-related issues efficiently.
• Supporting special projects and initiatives as directed by management.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Education, or Healthcare entity in a similar payroll function.
• Strong proficiency in Chris21, either in a Payroll or HR capacity.
• Experience with Oracle HCM (highly advantageous).
• Experience with Time2Work (highly advantageous).
• A detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with employees and stakeholders.
