About the role

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Gardener to join our casual but dedicated team at Holdsworth Painting & Contracting Services in Sunshine, VIC. As one our Gardeners you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and gardens of our Commercial and industrial Sites. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a rewarding environment.

What you'll be doing

• Mowing, edging and maintaining lawns to a high standard
• Pruning, weeding and cultivating garden beds
• Planting and caring for a variety of plants, flowers and shrubs
• Performing general garden maintenance tasks such as leaf blowing and cleaning paths
• Identifying and treating plant pests and diseases
• Ensuring all gardening tools and equipment are well-maintained
• Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar gardening or landscaping role
• Strong practical gardening skills and knowledge of horticulture
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or landscaping would be highly regarded
• Have a working with Children Check, a police check or willing to obtain one.
• Ability to drive a manual Vehicle, or willing to learn.
