Experienced Maintenance Employee – Horticultural & Landscaping Maintenance

Salary Range: $65,932.88 - $70,754.84 plus applicable allowances and 11.5% superannuation

The Role
As an Experienced Maintenance Employee - Horticultural and Landscaping, you will use your skills and knowledge to perform a range of asset maintenance activities throughout the City, with a focus on garden maintenance. You'll do this with our community in front of mind.
Working hours will be from 7:00AM - 4:00PM with 9-day fortnight. Workdays will be starting and concluding at Latrobe City Council's depot at Driffield Road, Morwell.
About You
Your in-depth knowledge of open space general horticulture maintenance techniques will drive you to produce work of the highest quality and your friendly and professional communication with the public, clients and other employees will help get the job done. The difference you make to local green spaces will be your reward!
You will have experience in small powered plant and also in shrub and tree planting, hedging and mulching.
You'll need:
- Minimum Certificate II in Horticulture / Landscaping and experience within the horticultural industry
- Farm Chemical User/Herbicide Certificate
- Current Medium Rigid Vehicle license as a minimum
- Current First Aid highly regarded
- Proven experience in the safe and competent operation of the types of plant and equipment used in garden and grass maintenance.
