About the role
AbilitiesNQ are looking for an IT COORDINATOR to join their team. You need to have experience working within a fast-paced environment, as you will be required to multi-task. You need to be confident in your knowledge allowing you to resolve complex IT related issues in a timely manner. You will possess professional communication both verbal and written to enable yourself to liaise with teams and managers in person, over the phone and via email. You will need to be disciplined and dynamic as you will work with colleagues located in different geographical locations such as our offices located in Cairns, Townsville, you will need to be based in Townsville QLD. You need to be motivated to excel in your career.
What you'll be doing
- Respond to and resolve IT-related queries and incidents from employees in a timely and professional manner
- Provide first-line support for a range of software, hardware, and network-related issues
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, applications, and peripherals
- Manage and maintain the company's IT assets, including inventories, warranties, and service agreements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless IT operations
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure and systems
- Provision of first contact IT helpdesk support, Prioritising and allocation of helpdesk jobs
- Assisting with the administration of internal software systems including MS programs, SharePoint, office365, and other operational programs
- Assist with administration of user file and folder permissions.
- Assist with administration of accounts.
- Workstation and laptop hardware maintenance and service call logging
- Assist with administration of printing systems and service call logging.
- Assist with imaging of desktops, laptops, and tablets and mobile phones.
- Ensure appropriate stock of IT consumables is kept.
- Researching and advising on relevant IT developments
- Assist with Cyber Security Initiatives
- Assist with other IT Staff duties / training where appropriate.
- Assist with ensuring workplace health and safety compliance.
Liaising with teams and management regarding:
- PC and Software Requests and Faults
- Accidental and Non-Accidental Damage
- Undertaking Imaging of Mobile phone and Desktop PC Fleet
- Maintain IT Asset Register.
Helpdesk support duties include but are not limited to:
- Login and password maintenance
- Installation of workstations and peripherals
- Undertaking hardware maintenance and service call logging
- Undertaking software maintenance
- Troubleshooting general network issues
- Troubleshooting e-mail issues
- Printer and printer queue maintenance
- Reimaging of workstations and installation of software
- Troubleshooting hardware and software faults
- Troubleshooting virus and spyware issues
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a similar IT support or coordination role, preferably within the Information & Communication Technology industry or tertiary qualification in IT related field completed (or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of IT-related issues
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and common business applications
- Familiarity with hardware, networking, and cloud-based technologies
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Proactive and adaptable approach to learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies

REQUIRED LICENCES/CERTIFICATES
- Minimum tertiary qualification in IT related field completed (or equivalent) OR Minimum 3-year experience in the IT field
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
