About the role

Are you passionate about food and eager to kickstart your career in the hospitality industry? We are seeking enthusiastic Junior Cooks, Kitchen Hands and Apprentices to join our vibrant team at our fish and chip shop / tapas bar in Torquay. This part-time role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced restaurateurs and gain valuable on-the-job experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Learning basic cooking techniques under the guidance of our team of chefs
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Providing support to the kitchen team as required
• Developing your culinary skills and expanding your knowledge of the industry

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and a desire to grow your culinary skills
• Relevant experience or qualifications in hospitality or culinary arts (preferred but not essential)
