Only About Children - Part Time Cook (Parental Leave Cover)

Only About Children Altona North are excited to welcome an experienced Cook to support a parental leave cover commencing Mid-March up until January/February 2026! This position will be part-time, 30 hours per week, catering for up to 48 children per day. We are looking for a Cook who has a clear passion for catering for young children, making food fun and inviting for all. You'll play a pivital role within our team, as everyone knows the kitchen is the heart of the centre!

About the Role:

• Cook for our children aged between 0-5 years
• Prepare meals as per the Oac Nutrition Menus
• Plan and cater for all allergies and dietary requirements
• Interact with children in a positive and warm way about their food
• Adhere to all policies about hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Oversee the ordering and stock inventory

For this role we are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in cooking for young children
• Food safety Supervisor Certificate
• Ability to manage the kitchen independently
• Valid Working with Children Check
