Our NSW Government client are hiring for a highly capable Senior Manager, Audit, Risk and Compliance to join the organisation. Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, the successful candidate will be providing strategic advice and operational delivery of all audit, risk and compliance matters, such as developing appropriate frameworks and helping to embed a risk culture in the organisation. Experience working within the superannuation industry is preferred.
Role: Senior Manager, Audit, Risk and Compliance.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 12 months duration.
FTC Rate: Between $190,000 to $210,000 Inclusive of Super per annum.
Location: Sydney CBD (2000) - 3 days per week onsite and two days WFH.
Key Accountabilities:
- The role works closely with the organisation's outsourced service partners to ensure appropriate alignment with internal audit, risk and compliance frameworks.
- Additionally, the role draws on insights to anticipate risks and impacts and futureproof the organisation.
Risk:
- Deliver an effective risk management framework by working with the organisations Executives and the business units to facilitate the identification and mitigation of material risks.
- Report on material risks to the Executive and Board.
- Oversee the outsourced service partners to identify risks in the services provided and that they are appropriately mitigated.
- Implement the organisation's quality control program as it relates to the risk management framework.
Audit:
- Oversee performance of the outsourced internal audit function.
- Review and coordinate audit scopes and draft internal and external audit reports.
- Review internal audit reports and ensure appropriate implementation of recommendations.
Compliance:
- Identify the appropriate compliance obligations in the Enterprise Risk and Compliance System.
- Determine whether there is material non-compliance and ensure effective resolution.
- Develop appropriate insights and reports on the risk management function to the Executives, Board and Committees.
- Facilitate compliance training for the business as needed.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Applicants seeking employment with the organisation must be permanent residents or Australian citizens and will be required to undergo a criminal records check.
Candidates must be based in or around Sydney and willing to work on-site. Additionally, you must possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency for this role.
