About your new role

The Business Improvement Leader drives a team of Business Improvement professionals in identifying, analysing, and delivering transformational and business improvement initiatives in support of our strategic and organisation goals.

We’re looking for people who can:

• Identify, prioritise, and drive business improvement initiatives on behalf of the Executive General Manager and Strategic Portfolio Committee
• Lead and mentor a team of Senior Business Improvement Officers, Business Improvement Officers and Business Improvement Administrators in analysis and delivery of business improvement initiatives
• Undertake key business improvement initiatives as determined by the organisation’s priorities, utilising best practice business improvement methods and standards
• Support the Coordinator in developing, maintaining and improving methods and standards for business improvement.
• Work closely with executive leadership to understand transformational and department goals to prioritise business improvement initiatives, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and optimising business value.
• Promote a continuous improvement, innovation-led, and transformational mindset to optimise business improvement

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project/Program Management or similar or equivalent industry experience
• Min 5 years’ experience business improvement, delivering large-scale or transformational initiatives.
• Driver Licence Class C unrestricted

Formal qualifications in at least one of the following (multiple qualifications are highly desirable):
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt or above or equivalent
• Certified Business Process Associate (CBPA®) or above or equivalent
• PRINCE2® Project Management or above or equivalent
• PROSCI® or Change Management Practitioner or above or equivalent
